Before constructing your rule, decide where you want to put the meeting-related messages. If the folder doesn't already exist, now so it will be available to your rule. From the Tools menu choose Rules. A Rules dialog box will open.
• You’ll have better luck if Outlook is the active application when you drag. That is, to drag a file from the Finder to Outlook, first click on the message in Outlook. Im running 2016 on probably 25 Mac's and haven't seen this issue yet, but I have had weird issues with Outlook in general that aren't worth the time messing with and just adding the account back again will fix saving all of our times.
On the left, click your account name under Server Rules. Click the plus sign near the bottom of the dialog box. A dialog box will open. Give your rule a name (so you can find it later).
Under When a new message arrives that meets all these conditions, select Kind in the first dropdown list. Select Meeting Request from the second dropdown list.
Under Do the following, select Move to Folder from the first dropdown list. From the second dropdown list, select Choose Folder. Type part of the folder name into the search box, then select it from the search results and click Choose. Close the Rules dialog box.
